Aaron Kim, aka Side FX is an ‘open format’ DJ specializing in EDM/House, Hip-Hop/Rap, Top 40/Pop, Latin, Throwbacks/Oldies, and many other genres; Aaron plays at bars, clubs, parties, weddings, and other private events.

With a deep background in songwriting and production, Aaron’s passion for music took shape in high school and college at UConn.

Initially partnering with his friend Rachit (see more in the “About” section), Aaron’s journey into DJing began unexpectedly after a basketball injury sidelined him from sports, redirecting his energy to the decks.

The name "Side FX" nods to the "side effects" of that injury—a setback that sparked his new path in music. Today, his DJ sets celebrate resilience and the surprising turns that led him here.

As a resident DJ with Big Night Entertainment Group, I’ve played at top venues like Memoire Boston, Empire Boston, and Scorpion Bar Foxwoods.

How will I contribute to the success of your venue/event?

3.) With the help from my external team, we can capture promotional content recapping our night at your venue. We hire multiple videographers, photographers, and editors that contribute to our media output.

2.) Our marketing team can create personalized promotional flyers for each venue I perform at. You can repost these on your own social media pages to promote the event.
