With a performance style built on momentum and connection, SideFX’s signature sound blends EDM/House with select Hip-hop/Rap, Pop, Latin, and throwbacks for open format versatility. His sets tap into creativity, dynamic pacing, and hype-building moments designed to move the crowd while reading the room and pushing energy forward. Based in New England, SideFX delivers a performance that is exciting, engaging, and built for the dance floor.

Coming from a background in songwriting and production, Aaron’s passion for music took shape in high school and college (UConn). In June 2023, shortly after graduating, Aaron faced an unexpected shift from sports to DJing after a basketball injury. As he was forced to step back from fitness, the name SideFX nods to the "side effects" of that injury: a physical setback that set up his new path in DJing. Today, his sets celebrate resilience and the surprising turns that led him to where he is today (see more in the “My Story” section).

Open Format Club Mix (Sample Set)

While EDM/house are SideFX’s signature and favorite styles, this fast-paced Open Format Club Mix shows his ability to move fluidly through genres / maintain momentum in a live setting.

Side note: This mix was recorded in February 2026 with a broken left hand. Call it a true side effect.
